One of the most enchanting cities in Tuscany, Lucca is known for its Renaissance walls inside which you will find elegant cobbled streets, beautiful piazzas and promenades. Meet your local expert and experienced guide in the morning to discover Lucca’s ‘centro storico,’ the historic center. It is a lovely place to visit by foot, but you can also opt for a pleasant morning bike ride through this beautifully preserved car-free town. This tour will include the following: a visit to the famous walls, Cathedral of San Martino, Guinigi Tower, Church of San Frediano, San Michele in Foro, Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, and the elegant shopping street of Via Fillungo and Piazza Napoleone. If the allure of the city has won you over, the tour may continue on to lunch in the countryside with a glass of Lucchesi wine. After lunch, the afternoon will finish with two of the acclaimed Lucchese Villas, Torrigiani and Reale, which date back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
